The lights are draped and the mistletoe hung. It’s official… Christmas is coming to town with Winter Funland (to EventCity, to be exact). And we have everything you need to know.
Brought to you by the team that deliver the amazing Geronimo Festival in the summertime, Winter Funland is a magical indoor winter wonderland, perfect for taking the family to enjoy some seasonal festivities over the most wonderful time of the year.
As the biggest and only ‘inside’ Christmas venue in the whole of the North West, Winter Funland offers all the wonders of winter – with the warmth of the indoors.
The event will boast over forty funfair rides; with options ranging from helter-skelter rides to rollercoasters and merry-go-rounds, Winter Funland don’t hold back on the ‘fun’.
That’s not all though… you’ll also find:
Magical, hilarious and spectacular, this is one show you don’t want to miss. Winter fairies fly through the sky while The Grinch skulks by to make a little mischief and Little Miss Christmas makes merry on her unicycle. Expect all the sparkly trimmings of your traditional circus, with popcorn and candyfloss to top!
Winter Funland are also delighted to offer a real, gigantic ice skating rink, complete with skate instructors and penguin skate aids for children who need a gentle hand. Don’t worry, there’s a careful monitoring of skaters on the rink, so nobody gets too crowded.
This year, Winter Funland will be joined by Cbeebies presenter, Andy Day who’ll be performing daily. With his wonderful Odd-socks friends, Winter Funland welcomes Rio on guitar, Blue on Bass, Moxy on the drums and Cousin Mac on the keys.
Bringing you the very best rides from across the UK, Winter Funland is ready to boast over forty thrilling options for your entertainment. From traditional carousels to helter skelters and dodgems, there will be more rides than ever.
You heard it here first – Santa will actually be at Winter Funland every day for you guys to visit. Despite a hectic schedule this time of year, to avoid disappointment, he was booked in super early and promises join crowds with Rudolf and Dancer – just remember, Santa will be taking a well-earned rest after Christmas Day, so the Grotto will only be open until and including Christmas Eve.
Real-life Rudolf and Dancer look forward to meeting everyone at Winter Funland – but don’t forget, they’ll be heading home with Santa after Christmas Day too.
All rides and attractions are included in the entrance cost, and under threes go free, so this event is amazing value for money, plus with 3,000 free car parking spaces, you have nothing to worry about.
