Oktoberfest Bier Festival returns to Manchester’s iconic Albert Hall on Saturday 20 September for a weekend of celebrating Oktoberfest in the bier hall.

Back by popular demand is a 20 Stories masterclass for children taking place on 29 September. This time, the iconic restaurant is offering a ‘Build a Bar’ workshop where children will have the opportunity to design their very own chocolate bar and enjoy a lunch in the sky on 20 Stories’ rooftop restaurant.
For the first time in musical history, a rare tour roof R&B icons Joe, Dru Hill and 112 will make a stop in Manchester on the 29 September. The iconic R&B stars are embarking on a three city tour, and Manchester Academy is third on the list. The Academy will celebrate 25 years of fantastic R&B tunes with the three legendary artists.
The 2019 Rugby World Cup is starting on 20 September in Japan after a long four year wait and Alderley Edge’s The Oakwood is giving fans the chance to celebrate there. The Oakwood will be showing live screenings of matches alongside their brand new limited edition breakfast/brunch menu inspired by the host nation. The menu features a Kasai Bloody Mary – a spicy twist on the classic Bloody Mary with a dash of fresh wasabi and a cooling slice of cucumber garnish.
Fans can order a breakfast butty with the choice of adding a side of Exec Chef Clive Fretwell’s homemade zingy umeboshi sauce on a bed of shiso leaves for an extra £1. Or, enjoy these bespoke breakfast creations as a bundle, with a bacon, sausage or egg muffin and a Kasai Bloody Mary for £11 or pair your morning butty with an Asahi Japanese lager for just £7. If you want to catch the action with a group of mates order a bucket of eight Asahi beers for just £30.
Stylist Live will return to Manchester for its second year on 28 and 29 September to bring a little snippet of London Fashion Week to the city following the high success of its debut last year. Taking place at high street haven, intu Trafford Centre, the weekend is set to consist of nine deluxe catwalk shows over Saturday and Sunday with promises of exclusive discounts, personal style consultations and free gifts from selected stores. Oasis and Dorothy Perkins will be offering style advice while John Lewis will host trend talks in the Style Studio with its own unique fashion show in store. There will also be discounts in other shops such as Topshop and Warehouse with Radley offering a free canvas tote bag with purchases over £75 with loads more happening throughout the shopping centre over the weekend.
The event is completely free to attend, where the Trafford Centre’s central escalators will transform into a kinetic catwalk runway showcasing top designer and high street looks straight from the digital pages of Stylist Magazine. Last year was Stylist’s first event outside of London and it attracted 200,000 shoppers to the centre, after becoming a sell-out event down South.
With Freshers Week fast approaching in Manchester, there’s a host of events taking place all over the city. Manchester is a top student destination with a number of universities to choose from and, we might be biased but, one of the best nightlife scenes in the UK.
