During one of the longest, hottest summers in memory, One-Manchester were invited to sample ‘The Summer of Celebration’ with Cloud 23; a bespoke cocktail menu featuring a flight of three fruity champagne beverages.
Iconic in its own right and proudly overlooking the Mancunian landscape, Cloud 23 is housed in the legendary Beetham Tower, right in the heart of the city centre. With stunning floor-to-ceiling windows, panoramic views and opulent settings, Cloud 23 serves up innovative and award-winning signature drinks, inspired by Manchester’s proud heritage.
Featuring a bespoke medley of flavours, Les Trois Bulles – which translates to ‘The Three Bubbles’, is the flight of three contemporary looking Jacquart Champagne cocktails.
Of the trio, the first cocktail was arguably our favourite; a fruity concoction of raspberry, blueberry, blackcurrant and star anise, this beverage came paired with a delicate lemon flavoured macaroon, sprinkled with zingy lemon zest.
The second drink came in the form of a more controversial combination of flavours, and consisted of a mysterious green cocktail, made up of fresh avocado, samphire and Frangelico. This was served with a pistachio macaroon, and garnished with a sprinkling of crushed pistachio nuts.
Our final taster was quite palette cleansing, containing a light mix of refreshing melon, mango, orange and elderflower, delivered with a deliciously rich chocolate macaroon and a soft dusting of dark chocolate shavings.
The ‘Summer of Celebration’ menu is dedicated to the array of jubilations and traditions which take place across the city of Manchester over the sunny season; from graduation ceremonies to summer balls; weddings to christenings and birthdays to special anniversaries, Cloud 23 is proud to not only offer Les Trois Bulles, but also ‘Petite and Grande Fete’ (food and drinks packages for small and large parties) and ‘Alpha Tea’ (premium champagne and afternoon tea).
Les Trois Bulles costs £20 and is available daily throughout summer.
