Izzie Walsh Hosts Open Mic Night and Live Music at The Bay Horse Tavern
The Bay Horse Tavern is set to bring live music to its quintessential basement space with their open mic night takeover, hosted by the award-winning singer/songwriter Izzie Walsh. The event starts on Thursday 7th March in Manchester’s hip and happenin’ Northern Quarter.
As a city proudly renowned for its vibrant night scene and invaluable contribution to music, Manchester is (and always will be) home to some of the most iconic musical legends. With this in mind, The Bay Horse Tavern invites you to get involved and brave the mic. Whether you have a penchant for spoken word, singing, or whatever, this is your chance to shine. Or, if performing isn’t really your thing, you’re more than welcome to sit back and enjoy an evening of Mancunican entertainment.
A weekly event, each night will be hosted by Manchester’s very own country artist Izzie Walsh, who has just returned from touring with her band in Australia. Recently awarded Horizon Act of 2018 and Best Band of 2018 by the British Country Music Association, and dubbed a ‘star of the future’ by BBC Radio 2.
As well as hosting, Izzie will also be performing her original music – so be sure to keep an eye out on social to hear about the special guests that Izzie has invited down to share the stage.
There’s also a great set of deals on food and drink to be available throughout the evening. You can enjoy beers, courtesy of Camden Brewery on the launch night, as well as weekly deals such as a pint and classic Bay Horse pie and chips for just £6, and double £5 double G&Ts from 10pm onwards.
In the heart of the Northern Quarter on Thomas Street, The Bay Horse Tavern provides a lovely place to eat and drink the finest quality pub grub alongside an extensive selection of beers, wines and spirits.
The Open Mic Night is welcome to all, and kicks off at 7pm with Izzie Walsh every Thursday – no need to sign up, just turn up on the night!
