CULTUREPLEX is Ducie Street Warehouse’s new tenant, and it’s announced an exciting new restaurant to form part of Manchester’s brand new hangout.
Ducie Street Warehouse is set to house 3 independent businesses, a design led apartment hotel by Native, boutique fitness studio BLOK, and CULTUREPLEX, a fresh new spot to hang out, socialise, unwind or engage. Located on the edge of the Northern Quarter, on the ground floor of the impressive warehouse building, CULTUREPLEX promises a unique offering of music, film, classes and debates, a place to work or to clock out.
Launching within CULTUREPLEX is BISTROTHEQUE, the restaurant which forms part of the space. Brought to Manchester by founders Pablo Flack and David Waddington, since 2004 BISTROTHEQUE’S ethos has always been to offer up no-fuss good food, drink and service with common sense and good taste and the Manchester offshoot will be no different. BISTROTHEQUE will be open for dinner seven days a week with a brunch offering at weekends, with all menus executed under the expertise of Chef Director Blaine Duffy.
The soft launch will run from Tuesday 3 September to Sunday 8, with BISTROTHEQUE offering 50% off food in exchange for filled-in taste test feedback forms. The restaurant will officially open on 19 September.
A soft launch for the Lounge and Klatch at CULTUREPLEX will also start on September 3rd. Klatch is a coffee counter by day, with a ‘healthy(ish)’ ready to go offer that flips into a craft beer and natural wine stand by night. Healthy (ish) because who doesn’t like to see a Mozzarella and Mortadella Toastie or a Chocolate and Banana Loaf with Salted Butter alongside their complex carbs and plant based options?
The Lounge is in the heart of the space, where a CULTUREPLEX newspaper acts as a food and drink bible, broken down into Morning, Afternoon & Evening, table served to wherever guests decide to flop down. Eating and drinking in the Lounge will always be informal, democratically priced and well executed.
Looking over the Piccadilly Basin in a former goods warehouse, CULTUREPLEX is among the latest social hubs that is breathing new life into the city’s many heritage buildings. As well as BISTROTHEQUE, Klatch and the Lounge, CULTUREPLEX features a flexible events space with outdoor terraces and a cinema.
