The award winning boutique hotel brand Dakota is coming to Manchester, May 2019.
Presenting the city with some of its largest hotel bedrooms and suites, Dakota Manchester will boast 137 luxury bedrooms (including 27 suites) and is set to stand as the crown of the Northern Quarter on Ducie Street – just a stone’s throw away from Piccadilly Station. The penthouse suite, named the ‘Grand Duluxe’ promises to be the largest and most elegant suite in the city.
At the heart and soul of Dakota is ‘The Grill’. With an intense passion for food and wine, the vibrant brasserie follows the Dakota philosophy of focusing on executing the simple things in the most divine ways possible.
With all the elements of a chic cocktail lounge, the bar will feature the Dakota trademark ‘Champagne Room’; a beautifully designed space and perfect for those who love the finer things in life.
Another first for the city, Dakota also hopes to bring a little bit of (dare we say…) Mayfair to Manchester, through the custom-designed ‘Cigar Garden’, where cigar enthusiasts can enjoy a special Cuban in comfort.
With a name inspired by the aircraft which transformed the face of air travel forever, Dakota was the name known for offering style and impeccable service at affordable prices. In 1936, the Dakota airliner made its maiden flight from New York to Chicago, before going on to revolutionise air travel, providing sophisticated service and cabin accommodation at easily accessible prices. Once a privilege of the rich and famous, this revolutionary aircraft broke boundaries and its defining spirit lives on in the Dakota Hotels brand.
Applying this ethos to its hotels today, Dakota provides guests with sincere hospitality and service, oozing classic values and creating unforgettable experiences across the board.
A partnership between internationally renowned hotelier Ken McCulloch and Evans Property Group, Dakota Manchester is the fifth hotel in the Dakota group and the latest addition to the brand’s expanding portfolio. With the height of luxury in every room, the creative team is headed by internationally acclaimed designer, Amanda Rose, who says; “Great cities deserve great hotels and I am excited to bring Dakota to Manchester”.
