The team at the opulent Ivy Asia (situated on the second floor at Ivy Spinningfields) are set to celebrate Sakura Season in style, curating a show-stopping installation, complete with a delicious blossom-inspired dessert and cocktail. One of the most iconic visions from across the globe, Sakura season marks the full bloom of the cherished cherry blossoms, signifying the start of one of the most beautiful seasons in Japan; spring.
From Wednesday 20th March to Monday 22nd April, guests are invited to enjoy a stunning installation of pink cherry blossom, which will adorn the entrance, bar and centre of the restaurant.
A decadent Cherry Blossom dessert (£8.50) will also be available until the 14th April, featuring sweet cherry parfait with candy floss and petals. Furthermore, the Ivy Asia bar team have concocted a tantalising cocktail, The Sakura (£13.75), featuring Hibiki Harmony, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, Martini Reserva Rubino, a dash of Peychaud’s Bitters, garnished with cherries, edible flowers and a spritz of cherry blossom aromatics.
The Ivy Asia is exclusive to Manchester, and serves up Asian-inspired cocktails and sharing plates, such as Wagyu beef with truffle sauce, salmon fillet teriyaki, and avocado with crispy tofu, served with lime and ginger dressing. A magical space to behold, the entire Ivy Asia floor is illuminated with a mesmerising semi-precious stone floor.
