The Ivy Spinningfields has recently announced a series of exciting and insightful evenings, Intimate at The Ivy.
These exclusive events at The Ivy Spinningfields aim to introduce an array of prominent figures from the worlds of business, fashion and sport to discuss their passion, and give guests the opportunity to learn more about their career and industry.
To kick start the series, the renowned fashion designer Nick Ashley will host Intimate at The Ivy on the stunning, newly launched Skylight Terrace, on Tuesday 3rd September from 6.30pm – 8pm. Champagne and canapés will be served as Nick discusses his role as Creative Director at Private White V.C and beyond.
Nick Ashley isn’t your average fashion designer, he’s spent the past 40 something years applying his expert eye to functional, usable design. He fulfilled the role of Creative Director of his parents’ family business, Laura Ashley and worked stints at Dunhill, Tod’s and, most recently, Private White V.C. The latter, since launching eight years ago under Nick’s direction, has become particularly noted for its luxurious takes on military and work wear garments, which of course have strong roots in function. Private White V.C. manufactures all of its own clothing in its factory right here in Manchester. He’ll be giving an exciting account of the extensive work he has done for the fashion industry on The Ivy’s spectacular skylight terrace.
His own eponymous clothing brand completely transformed motorcycle wear and street style using intelligent material choices to craft his high-performance and hardworking garments.
Tickets are £35 per person and can be purchased through The Ivy’s website. One ticket includes Champagne, canapés and an intimate evening with Nick Ashley.
