What’s more, the taproom will also be pouring a Runaway collaboration brew with Honest Burgers. Top Drop – Honest Pale is a soft, refreshing pale ale brewed to complement the menu, offering a light and refreshing counterpoint to Honest Burgers homemade burgers and rosemary salted chips.
Mark Welsby, from Runaway Brewery, said; “When we heard Honest were coming to Manchester our mouths were already starting to water – but getting to join them in their new space on Bridge Street is a real privilege. The top floor of the new restaurant is a cosy, intimate space, with a great outdoor terrace – really reminiscent of our tap room down at the brewery – so it’s going to be a home from home! We’re looking forward to sharing our modern British beers with even more people locally and can’t wait to be pouring some of our more seasonal specials regularly in the city centre. Bring it on!”
Tom Barton, co-founder of Honest Burgers, said; “Wherever we’re lucky enough to open a new restaurant, collaboration with local, independent operators is key for us. We’re big fans of Mark and the team at Runaway and it felt like the perfect fit for the taproom. We’re looking forward to introducing Top Drop – Honest Pale and serving it alongside out burgers and working with the guys going forwards.”
Launching on Thursday, 18 April, the taproom will be open Thursday and Friday 17:00 till 23:00 and Saturday 12:00 till 23:00. As a fully licensed bar, customers are welcome to pop in just for a pint, with the bonus of ordering burgers, including the Manchester special, from downstairs. The taproom also benefits from a balcony with al fresco drinking under the big Manchester sky, when the weather permits.
