We’ve rounded up everything you need to know about the legendary Liam Gallagher homecoming gig at the Emerites Old Trafford Cricket Ground tomorrow, Saturday 18th August.
From pre-parties to support acts, we’ve got the One-Manchester breakdown on everything LG.
Don’t miss out on the city’s best pre-show party with an exclusive set from Manchester’s soundest DJ, Clint Boon.
The event is FREE, but flash your LG ticket for 25% off food and £3 spirit mixers.
Date: Sat 18th Aug | Time: From 2pm- 6pm | 57 Hilton Street, NQ
Liam’s honorary bittersweet brother and ‘The Verve’ frontman, Richard Ashcroft will be gracing the stage just before LG rocks up, after previous support from homegrown Manchester grime man, Bugzy Malone and Saddleworth four-piece indie band, Twisted Wheel.
We expect doors to open at 4.30pm and the gig to end at around 10.30pm. See detailed timings here:
Doors open – 4.30pm
Twisted Wheel – 5.20pm
Bugzy Malone – 6.10pm
Richard Ashcroft – 7.10pm
Liam Gallagher – 8.45pm
Curfew – 10.30pm
If recent setlists have been anything to go by, we expect a BIG HIT of Oasis tunes from LG. It’s also pretty likely that one of the Oasis founding members, Bonehead might pop by.
What to bring:
Your ticket (hey, we’ve all got half-way to a gig, only to realise the ticket is not)
Your ID as the bars will be operating a ‘Challenge 25 policy’ (if you’re lucky enough to look under 25… bla bla bla…)
Cash – don’t get stung by any potential cash-machine charges.
Umbrellas are not permitted and let’s face it, the likelihood of rain is high. Maybe think about bringin a poncho… maybe?
