The Ivy Spinningfields will be hosting a yoga session just after sunrise on the longest day of the year, Friday 21 June.
The Ivy Roof GardenThe special summer solstice yoga lesson will celebrate the official start of summer at 7:45am on the restaurant’s scenic roof garden.
Led by Claudia Mirallegro, founder of Mirallegro Yoga, the yoga session will be suitable for all levels, with Claudia leading her guests through 45 minutes of dynamic, vinyasa-based yoga, a popular contemporary yoga style that is characterised by the way the poses flow together easily.
Claudia is originally from Manchester and is also the sister of Nico Mirallegro, who has acted in My Mad Fat Diary and Our Girl. She completed her yoga teaching training in 2015 in LA and has been leading classes since 2017. She holds regular sessions in the city centre. You can catch her at Lululemon in St Ann’s Square on Wednesdays.
Her innovative and creative yoga class will focus on movement, strength and spirit against a beautiful backdrop of leafy greens and alluring scenery on The Ivy’s fully retractable rooftop terrace to mark the start of summer in style.
After the session, guests will be invited for and indulgent breakfast with plenty of options to choose from. Choices will include a selection of sumptuous fresh juices and breakfast dishes, like eggs Benedict, dairy-free coconut yogurt with berries, and crushed avocado on gluten-free toast.
The Roof Garden is a perfect stun-trap spot ideal for summer lunches, dinners and cocktails in the heart of Manchester, complete with ultra-luxurious furnishings and it’s signature iridescent glowing marble pink bar. The Ivy will be hosting quarterly yoga breakfasts throughout the rest of the year to coincide with upcoming equinoxes and solstices.
