Seed & Cherry is Manchester’s newest coffee shop with a twist, featuring a massive variety of coffee blends from around the globe, with a specially-designed concept to showcase the depth and personality of each coffee bean.
Seed & Cherry is a brand new artisanal coffee shop, opening on Manchester’s Church Street on 5 August. It is the first of its kind, where customers can choose a different coffee bean on each visit, with up to five beans available at a time. This whole concept has been designed to introduce and engage everyone on how all different coffee beans can create unique flavour profiles.
These specialty grade beans have been transported from all over the world, including Colombia, Rwanda, Brazil and Kenya. All are ethically grown and part of the proceeds will go to supporting projects in the local communities. Seed & Cherry’s customers will have the opportunity to discover the stories behind their coffee, with each one having a special journey from seed to cup, through the planting, harvesting, roasting and rigorous quality and taste process.
Faizan Zaheer, co-founder of Seed & Cherry comments “Generally people have their ‘go-to’ drink in a bar and the learning the heritage and nuances of alcohol is becoming increasingly popular.
“Coffee beans are similar in that they all have their own flavour profiles, there is a bean for everyone’s preference, and we want to help bring this to the forefront. Customers will be able to learn, try and select their own coffee before having it crafted into their perfect drink.”
Some of the coffee beans available will include Colombia Las Brisas, a medium, syrupy bean tasting of red apple, brown sugar, orange and caramel, Rwanda Twumba, a juicy, citric profile with a caramel texture and notes of dark chocolate and Brazil Fazenda Rainha da Paz, a heavy, rounded, creamy coffee with flavours predominantly of cacao & stonefruit with mild nutty notes.
Northern Quarter’s Seed & Cherry will also have a tapas style food menu across their breakfast, lunch and light bites menus with health-focused and vegan options available. Breakfast dishes will include super berry acai bowls, brioche French toast, full English breakfast skewers and classic vegan pancakes, whilst lunches and light bites will include items such as beetroot and feta toasted sourdough, halloumi skewers, truffle fries and a variety of delicious, fresh salads.
The interiors of the artisan coffee house will pay homage to the natural process of coffee making with combined raw materials of hessian and palette stained woods to create a flexible environment that can easily transition from day to night.
Doors open on Monday 5 August, where Seed & Cherry will be offering 50% off food until Friday 9 August. The venue aims to become NQ’s go-to for a good brew, offering and educational and experimental experience and a superb food service for the people of Manchester.
