Manchester’s 20 Stories promises to make your mood soar with Mindfulness in the Sky, as part of Mental Health Awareness Week this May.
The city’s highest restaurant is teaming up with Holistic Manchester to give guests a morning of wellness and relaxation on May 15th 2019.
As May encompasses Mental Health Awareness Month, wellbeing in the workplace finds itself firmly on the agenda. Many experts now believe that long hours and non-stop social media stress can negatively affect a company’s productivity.
Indeed, recent statistics show that 44% of all sick days are attributed to stress, depression, or anxiety – the reason 20 Stories decided to introduce their Mindfulness in the Sky event.
Guests at the 20 Stories event will be encouraged to sit back as they are taken through a wellbeing talk, followed by chair yoga, meditation and an open forum to discuss all things work and stress related. Then, to ease them into their working days, the event will finish off with a light healthy breakfast prepared by the acclaimed chefs at the 20 Stories kitchen.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to 20 Stories’ chosen charity of the month, Hospitality Action. Hospitality Action offers vital assistance to all those who work or have worked within hospitality in the UK and who find themselves in crisis.
20 Stories spokeswoman Becky Wilkes said: “We are delighted to be involved with Hospitality Action and we hope as many city centre workers as possible will get involved in Mindfulness in the Sky, not only to help this great charity, but also to improve their day right from the outset.”
Holistic Manchester runs Manchester’s International Yoga Festival, working with communities to empower mindful and holistic living, with an ongoing vision to bring new and experiential ways for the city to explore yoga and wellbeing.
Mindfulness in the Sky takes place at 20 Stories on May 15th from 9am – 11am and costs £15 per person.
